MIDDLE EAST: Improving the Response to Internal Displacement

This paper assesses aid responses to internal displacement in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, focusing on the accessibility of services and assistance for IDPs. It highlights challenges such as accessing essential services, bureaucratic hurdles in reissuing documents, and the need for better coordination among aid agencies. The paper calls for a more inclusive approach, involving civil society and IDPs in planning and implementing aid, aligned with the UN Secretary General’s Action Agenda to effectively address the needs of displaced populations.
