Photo gallery from Mali: Our emergency mobile teams deploy within 72 hours - even to the hardest-to-reach areas.

Thanks to humanitarian support from the EU, DRC mobile teams are carrying out protection responses in the regions of Ségou and Mopti in Mali to address the urgent needs of the populations.

Within 72 hours of receiving an alert following a population displacement and in coordination with the other actors present, DRC deploys a first mission.

The mobile emergency team identifies people who are victims of rights violations and/or exposed to risks through group interviews and individual interviews.

In response to people's psychological distress, psychosocial care is put in place through individual interviews, discussion groups, occupational therapy activities and recreational activities for children.

Depending on the risks and/or urgent needs of the people, the teams refer them to specialized services (health services for example) or provide them with assistance themselves.

The photos were taken in April 2023 as part of two follow-up missions with people who had benefited from one or even two missions from DRC. These people are now on the sites of Sarema in Mopti and Sébougou in Ségou.
